PARENTING the nurturing way® a workshop for English and Spanish- Speaking Parents. Register online or call the Tulelake/Newell Family Resource Centerat 530.667.2147 and register over the phone. Location: Tiny and Mighty Strong 442 2nd Street, Tulelake Facilitated in English and Spanish by Carla Charraga January 10th - April 3rd Wednesdays ~ 10:30am - 12:30pm Lunch and child care are included at no cost to participants. These classes focus on the unique developmental needs of young children and sets the foundation for nurturing and healthy family relationships. Parents learn skills in developmentally appropriate activities and expectations, nurturing touch, effective discipline techniques, alternatives to spanking, and self-nurturing skills.

On Monday, November 27, 2023, you were notified of the need to boil/disinfect all tap water used for drinking and cooking purposes. The City of Tulelake Water System in conjunction with the State Water Resources Control Board Division of Drinking Water has determined that, through abatement of the health hazard and comprehensive testing of the water, your water is safe to drink. It is no longer necessary to boil your tap water or for you to consume bottled water. Please be advised that Tulelake City Water must be boiled before consumption until further notice. Water bottles will be provided at Tulelake Basin Joint Unified Schools beginning Tuesday, November 28th for students during the school day. All drinking fountains and refill stations will be shut off.
