The current 6th graders at Tulelake Basin Elementary toured Tulelake High School, and learned from an excellent source what middle school will be like, our current Freshmen!

After a 6:30 am departure from TBES the first day of the fourth grade trip started at Turtle Bay Exploration Park. Students walked the Sundial Bridge, toured the museum, zip lined at park, watched an animal show and had lunch along the Sacramento River. Turtle Bay was followed by a trip to Shasta Dam. Upon arriving at Shasta Dam the group was informed that the elevator repair had been completed that morning and that they’d be able to travel through the dam. The full tour has not been available since 2019. The day ended with travel to the Sacramento Valley, KFC, and lights out at 10.

A memorable trip to end their time at Tulelake Basin Elementary! These amazing students have 7 days left at TBES, before they are officially THS students
A special shoutout to the drivers that made this trip possible: Natalie Scott, Sarah Lusbombe, Marivel Mora, David Asbury, and Letty Rascon-Garcia
