Hello Tulelake Community,
My name is Amanda Carpenter-Roy, and I’m excited to join Tulelake High School as the new Agricultural Education Teacher and FFA Advisor.
I earned my degree in Agricultural Education with an emphasis in Animal Science from California State University, Fresno. I hold both my Single Subject Agriculture credential and Agriculture Specialist credential, and I am currently continuing my education by working toward my Master’s degree at California State University, Chico.
Throughout my teaching career, I’ve had the opportunity to work with students in a range of agriculture courses, including agricultural science, animal science, and floral design. I’ve also been actively involved in coaching FFA teams and supporting students in leadership development activities. I strongly value hands-on, applied learning and strive to make agriculture relevant and meaningful for every student.
My goal is to create a classroom and program where students feel motivated to try new things, take on challenges, and discover their interests within agriculture. I’m especially excited to help students build practical skills, develop leadership, and connect with opportunities both within FFA and the broader agriculture industry.
I’m looking forward to meeting students, connecting with families, and becoming part of the Tulelake community as we continue to grow the agricultural program together.

Hello Tulelake Community,
My name is Andrea Thomas, and I am excited to introduce myself as the new Agricultural Education Teacher and FFA Advisor at Tulelake High School.
I am a proud graduate of Oklahoma State University, where I earned my degree in Animal Science and Agricultural Education, and I recently completed my Master’s in Educational Leadership. I have spent the past several years teaching agricultural science at both the middle and high school levels, and I am passionate about creating hands-on, real-world learning experiences for students.
Agriculture has always been a central part of my life. I grew up actively involved in 4-H and FFA, and today I continue to stay connected to the industry through raising livestock and hay production. I am especially passionate about helping students develop leadership skills, build confidence, and explore career opportunities within agriculture.
I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to join the Tulelake community and look forward to working with students, families, and community members to continue building a strong and successful agricultural program.
Go Honkers!
