Homecoming Week Spirit Dress-Up Days! February 3-7


Black Out Game! Let's kick off Homecoming week at the Basketball game on Monday, February 3. Show up and support our Honkers wearing black! The Dance Team will be performing at the Varsity Boy's Halftime.

Ms Orr has some exciting news on the Multimedia front. This year, she had her class enter the NBS KOBI-5 Positive Video contest. The students each created a short video addressing one of the seven topics: Believe in Yourself, Never Give Up, Be Grateful, Work Hard, Stay Humble, Be Kind, and Keep Smiling.
Out of over two dozen entries from across California and Oregon, Ms. Orr is ecstatic to say that Tulelake students took two of the top three placings!
2nd place- Ariana Garcia, Alexzandra Reyes, Alexandra Mojica, and Jenaria Mendoza. These girls won $2,000 dollars as the 2nd place prize!
3rd place- Yovanni Perez. He won a $1,000 prize!

Mrs. Bennett's K/1 class enjoyed an art lesson on Picasso!




This fall Mr. Bill Engel held a cyberbullying presentation to 5th and 6th graders at TBES . Thank you Bill for teaching our kids how to stay safe and be kind!


Mrs. Mahan's marvelous readers were rewarded today with a pizza and ice cream float party for reaching their reading challenge. The students read 400 books during their challenge. The non-fiction books included information on horses, octopuses, investigators, and big cats. Two fun fictional stories students enjoyed were about taking a mouse to the theater and a snake who wanted to play catch! TBES Is beyond fortunate to have Mrs. Mahan
